MuralWash™ is a plant-based detergent designed to dissolve oils, grease, and pollution over existing murals. It is mild on painted surfaces yet tough on grime. Use MuralWash™ when prepping a new wall, removing mystery coatings, and refreshing existing murals.
MuralWash™ gently washes away OverCoat™ Paint Protector without affecting the paint underneath. MuralWash™ safely reverses aged OverCoat™.
Use MuralWash™ to:
- Clean dirt and build-up off of your existing mural
- Preparing a new surface for painting
- Maintaining uncoated murals vibrant and clean
- Removing pre-existing OverCoat™ for additional in-painting, reconsolidation, or refreshing OverCoat™
To maintain maximum UV protection, OverCoat™ can be reapplied every 6-8 years, or as needed.
How to Use: MuralWash™ can be used full strength or diluted in water. For wall preparation or removing organic coatings, apply full strength with a bristle brush or roller. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before agitating with a bristle brush. Power wash the area until no more suds appear. Allow the wall to thoroughly dry before priming.
For gentle cleaning of existing murals, dilute MuralWash™ up to 1:3 parts with water. Agitate the solution until suds appear, then use a gentle bristle brush to wash the mural. Power wash the surface until no suds appear. Repeat as needed. Note: some greasy areas may require full strength MuralWash™.
For reconditioning OverCoat™, apply MuralWash™ full strength and allow to sit up to 5 minutes. Lightly agitate until OverCoat™ appears opaque followed by a light power wash. Rinse until no suds appear.
Coverage: 1 Quart is capable of cleaning between 75-90 SF. 1 Gallon is capable of cleaning between 300-375 SF.
MuralWash™ is fully biodegradable, non-persistent, and suitable for direct release.
