High Performance Artist Grade Clear Acrylic Gel and Adhesive for use on permanent Mural Cloth installations, paint reattachment, thickening paint or creating texture, and collage and mixed media art. Mural Gel is suitable for interior or exterior surfaces and contains zero VOCs. When dry, it forms a clear, glossy, flexible film. Mural Gel is a water-based emulsion and cleans up with soap and water.
When attaching Mural Cloth, 1 Gallon of Mural Gel covers approximately 75 SQ FT, depending on the surface texture. Higher surface textures require more Mural Gel, yielding around 50 SQ FT per gallon. For best results, smooth large wall bumps with an angle grinder or sander, followed by a coat of Mural Primer.
Apply Mural Gel direct to walls with a heavy nap roller for best results.
Mural Gel can be used to create thick paints or textured surfaces. Mural Gel is non-yellowing and shelf stable up to 2 years. Keep from freezing and out of sunlight when in storage. If storing an opened container, apply a layer of plastic wrap on the inner surface of the gel to prevent drying or crusting inside the pail.
